At the beginning of a retreat, each participant receives an individual “koan.” This is a phrase that can accompany you in your process throughout the retreat and lead you into deep realization when you contemplate it.

Here we want to share such an inspiring quote from Shai with you, which can accompany you for the next few days and perhaps weeks.

The process:

1. Choose a number between 1 and 10. Perhaps you would like to close your eyes for a moment and reflect.

2. When you have your number, click on the button with your number below. This will take you to your quotation sentence.

3. To make this as effective as possible, feel free to download the image or write the sentence down and place it in a place where you will see it every day.

4. Experiment with it. This is an open invitation to explore the reality behind the words. Where are they pointing to? You might want to reflect and write down what comes up. If you meditate from time to time, read through your sentence before meditation to tune into it. What insights does it bring?
